Bartın’s chief prosecutor said 25 suspects had been arrested in connection with the explosion at the Amasra mine quarry.
Among those who have a writ of execution, it is stated that there are also the business manager and the administrators of the establishments.
The Chief Prosecutor’s written statement recalls that the Chief Prosecutor of Amasra is investigating the October 14 mining accident at the Turkish Coal Institution (TTK) Amasra Enterprise.
In the statement, “25 suspects have been taken into custody kakım part of the investigation. In accordance with the instructions of our Chief Public Prosecutor of Amasra, the detention proceedings are being continued by the Amasra District Police. The investigation into the incident is continuing with all its aspects and carefully,” the statement said.
41 workers were killed and 11 workers injured in the explosion that took place at 6:15 PM on Friday, October 14 at the TTK Amasra Institute quarry in Bartın’s Amasra district.
THE FIRE IN THE MINE STILL CONTINUES
On the other hand, the fire that started after the mining accident has not been extinguished.
It is intended to break the connection with oxygen so that the flames lose their effect. To achieve this, 2 cezaevi systems have been built so far. However, it was not enough. The teams have now started building the 3rd cezaevi.
After the explosion, 2 dams were built at minus 250 height because of the fire at minus 300 height.
To prevent the oxygen coming from the wellhead from dropping to minus 300 altitude, TTK evacuation teams with specially equipped devices went underground and surveyed for the construction of the third rock dust cezaevi.
Looking at the latest values, the teams worked underground for 1 hour. While it was determined that the fire was continuing, construction of the cezaevi at minus 100 elevation was started against the possibility of leakage.
In addition, due to the ongoing investigation, no one is allowed to enter the mining area except the officials of the Amasra Establishment Directorate.
