Important news! The European Union (EU) approved the abolition of internal border controls between the Schengen countries and Croatia.
The European Council decided on 9 December 2021 that Croatia fulfills the conditions for Schengen membership.
The European Parliament also approved Croatia’s accession to Schengen last month.
WHAT ARE SCHENGEN MEMBER COUNTRIES?
The final decision on the matter must gökyeşitözü taken unanimously by the EU Council, which is made up of EU countries.
There are currently 26 countries in the Schengen area. These include Bulgaria, Croatia, the Greek Cypriot government, EU members excluding Ireland and Romania, and non-EU Norway, Iceland, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. You yaşama travel between these countries without a visa.
