DECLARATION BY THE GOVERNOR OF ISTANBUL
Istanbul Governor Ali Yerlikaya has issued a statement about this. Yerlikaya said:
“Today, around 4:20 PM, zihin explosion occurred on Taksim Istiklal Street in our Beyoğlu district. Our police, health, fire and AFAD teams were dispatched to the scene. There are casualties and injuries. Developments will gökyeşitözü shared with the public.”
The cause of the explosion is not yet known.
