The opening date of the Kağıthane-Istanbul Airport Metro Line has been announced. Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu has announced that the opening will take place on Sunday, January 22.

By metro line, Istanbul Airport is 24 minutes from Kağıthane and 12 minutes from Göktürk.

Minister Karaismailoğlu even investigated and said:

“We are working on 6 lines of about 96 km for Istanbul. These lines are Gayrettepe-Kağıthane-Istanbul Airport Metro Line, kakım well kakım Bakırköy (IDO)-Bahçelievler-Güngören-Bağcılar Kirazlı Metro Line, Halkalı-Basakşehir-Arnavutköy-Istanbul Airport Metro Line, Başakşehir-Çam and Sakura City Hospital-Kayaşehir Metro Line, Kazlıçeşme – Sirkeci Rail System and Pedestrian Focused New Generation Transportation Project and Altunizade – Ferah Mahallesi- Çamlıca Mosque – Bosna Boulevard Metro Line projects. 284.3 kilometers. We will increase Turkey’s rail network up to 380.2 kilometers.”




IT WILL EVEN HAVE 9 STATIONS

There will gökyeşitözü 8 stations on the Halkalı-Istanbul Airport line. After the opening of Gayrettepe station, this number will increase to 9 in total.

The total length is 37.5 kilometers and the travel time is 28.5 minutes.

HALKALI-ISTANBUL AIRPORT LINE

Work continues on the other line that goes to Istanbul Airport. 87 percent of the Halkalı-Istanbul Airport metro line project has been completed.

With the activation of the line, travel between Arnavutköy and Beşiktaş will decrease to 36 minutes.
