Announcing the export figures in Istanbul, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that exports increased by 12.9 percent in 2022 to exceed $254 billion, breaking a record.

“When we left 20 years ago, we increased our exports, which we took over for $36 billion, 7 times. The number of countries and regions we export to with our national currency has reached 197. Thanks to this success story that we have written in the export of goods and services, we have created a great export economy that together reaches $350 billion. Today, Turkey ranks second in TV series exports after the US. We have set our goal for health services exports at $5 billion by 2023.
NEW FAIR AREA IN ISTANBUL
Erdoğan announced that the construction of the fairground, which will reach a total area of 433 thousand square meters, has started next to Istanbul’s Atatürk Airport.
