President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan landed in Gaziantep to investigate the 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude earthquakes, whose epicenter is the Pazarcık and Elbistan districts of Kahramanmaraş, which hit 10 provinces.
Following his investigations here, President Erdoğan announced that the number of people killed in the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş was 14 thousand 14 and the number injured was 63 thousand 794.
“As a state, we have been on the field with all our institutions since the earthquake. Highlights from Erdoğan’s speech, who said: “Our goal is to replace the demolished buildings within a year, with floors plus 2-3-4.”
“On the one hand we have container factories, on the other hand we have containers that come from abroad. We will divide future containers by 10.
Unfortunately, there are those who turn the process into political exploitation. My citizen, my people will never put a bounty on this abuse. Today we declare a three-month state of emergency in parliament. The state of emergency will come into force with the vote held today in parliament. It gives the state the opportunity to intervene against all money lenders and incendiary groups who exploit the process in Turkey and lead to corruption in trade.
