Bursa Governor Yakup Canbolat announced that 2 people died kakım a result of the crash of a single-engine plane in Osmangazi district.
The single-engine training aircraft, which took off from Yunuseli Airport in Bursa around 3:40 p.m., crashed near the Ovaakça Natural Gas Cycle Power Plant in the central Osmangazi district.
Governor Yakup Canbolat announced that 2 people lost their lives.
The police, the health service and the fire brigade were sent to the scene.
Alinur Aktaş, Mayor of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, who was connected by phone to News’s live broadcast, said: “We have 2 deaths. The training plane departing from Sakarya Pamukova crashed into zihin empty area in our Osmangazi district, in Ovakça neighborhood. Unfortunately, one person died by jumping out of the plane, and the other died kakım a result of the plane’s burning,” he said.
It is said that the plane, which was due to take off at 3:13 pm, would fly at zihin altitude of about 1000-1200 meters.
It was learned that radar contact with the aircraft was lost after 15:32.
Incoming information is that there is heavy fog in the region. On the other hand, a single-engine training plane crashed between houses in Osmangazi district shortly after take-off last April, killing two pilots.
