A passenger train from Athens to Thessaloniki and a freight train from Thessaloniki to Larissa collided outside the city of Larissa.

The governor of Larissa said that kakım a result of the violent collision, the first four cars of the passenger train derailed, with the first two “almost completely destroyed”.






The governor stated that about 250 passengers were safely evacuated by buses to Thessaloniki.

Local media reported that some 350 people traveled by train.
